Te Toi Ora Ki Kāwhia Moana is a kaupapa Māori-led community hauora hub based in Kāwhia, grounded in mātauranga Māori, kaitiakitanga, and holistic wellbeing.

Te Toi Ora Ki Kāwhia Moana provides a holistic, whānau-centred approach to hauora, integrating clinical services with cultural and community-based support.
Our services include:
- Hauora & Clinical Outreach Services
- Nurse clinics (vaccinations, diabetes checks, blood pressure, medication support)
- Mental health and AOD support
- Acute and non-acute home-based support services
- Navigation to external services (MSD, GP, specialists)
- Rongoā Māori & Mirimiri
- Traditional healing practices grounded in tikanga and mātauranga Māori
- Whānau Ora Navigation & Support
- Advocacy, referrals, goal setting, and ongoing whānau support
- Kaumātua & Community Programmes
- Weekly kaumātua days
- Social connection, health education, and activities
- Wānanga & Cultural Programmes

Referral Criteria
Te Toi Ora Ki Kāwhia Moana operates with an open-door, inclusive approach.
Open to all whānau within Kāwhia and surrounding coastal communities from Aotea Harbour to Marokopa
Referrals accepted from:
- Self-referral (walk-ins)
- Whānau members
- Health providers (GPs, Te Whatu Ora, specialists)
- Community organisations and social services
Priority is given to:
- Rural and isolated whānau
- Kaumātua
- Whānau with limited access to services
- Individuals requiring wraparound hauora support
