Introduction

Are you mamae- feeling down, in distress, facing challenges or need to kōrero?


Are you looking for a way to navigate that mamae which embraces a holistic Māori approach that values everyone and supports systemic change?


We are Ue Rongo. We collaborate with you to ensure that your voice is heard and that you receive the support you need on your journey to wellness- this is wānanga, a sacred and safe indigenised space.


We are a part of a wider collective, our support whānau and have links with community service groups and organisations which help us to strengthen your support- At Te Hononga o Tāmaki me Hoturoa we are guided by our values of serving, leading, innovating and being accountable while walking alongside you as you navigate your journey of change.


We have genuine care for people and are committed to serving predominantly Māori and other underserved communities in the Auckland region through to Counties Manukau.  We strive to provide personalised care and support to meet the growing challenges faced by whānau in the comfort of your home, in our Te Hononga whare and in Te Taiao (outdoors in natural environments).

Whakawhiti kōrero

A safe place to share your voice, your story, your hopes and dreams,  to work through and release what you need to. Exploring mātauranga Māori to reindiginise our understanding of experiences and emotions. This can be in the comfort of your kāinga (home), our Te Hononga whare (house) or out in Te Taiao- our beautiful natural environment- te ngahere (bush), te moana (sea), he maunga (mountain) awa (stream/river) 


Auahatanga

Getting creative as a pathway for self expression... letting go of our conditioning, the things external to us and looking inwards can be presented in so many ways also known as ‘mahi toi’ - story writing, journalling, poetry, drawing, movement, waiata, making ukutangi (our clay healing wind instrument), creating with Te Taiao resources, opportunity to explore weaving over wānanga journey and more.


Taonga pūoro

Sharing breath with our taonga to create healing sound, the voices of our atua.


Mahere Oranga

 Create your wellbeing plan with our support. Your who, what, where, when & why- your hīnātore in Te Pō (what lights you up when feeling down)


Ahikāroa

Keeping your internal fires burning. Your ‘WHY’, your vision for the future and your goals to get you moving towards that- your guiding light.


Tūhono ki te ao Māori

Support where needed with reconnection to mātauranga Māori & whakapapa.

Reaching out, networking with other community groups and organisations to find the right people to support you where we may not be the right fit.

We can be beside you in spaces where you feel the system is having a negative impact on you and your whānau, assisting you in dealing with others.

Referral Criteria

We believe everyone should have access to support that aligns with their needs. As a culturally led, clinically supported kaupapa, we review all referrals individually. We welcome self-referrals and service referrals with consent from the person being referred.
