Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Toi Ora offers a comprehensive range of health, social, and welfare services and programmes to support whānau in improving their quality of life.

Our Mataora sit within the Toi Ora team and Whānau Navigation Services, providing support to whānau experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges or addictions. They use modes of Te Ao Māori to promote hauora and healing, offering a journey of reclamation.

Services provided

Our Mataora will complete an assessment, develop a plan with whānau, and wānanga to ensure that whānau are the designers of their own ora journey.

It is a mana-enhancing kaupapa that provides the strategies and tools to enable whānau to embrace their authenticity and navigate their ao. We are here to design a program for whānau, by whānau, to help them reach their desired destination.

The Mataora work alongside a multi-disciplinary team made up of various areas of expertise. The combined skill set within the team and the wider Toi Ora group ensures better coordination and streamlining of support services to meet the diverse challenges faced by whānau.
